Has anyone applied for ssi ,how long did it take to receive?

Has anyone applied for any type of benefits like ssi due to lupus, what was the outcome?Did you have to wait long?

I applied for disability February 2010, after two denials and almost 2 1/2 years later I am now scheduled to have a hearing in September. I only hope that they grant it to me, this has been a long and very hard road to travel. It seems like I'm coming to a dead end street but I'm believing that there will be an outlet somewhere at the end.

The ones that need it the system makes it hard the ones who scams makes it hard for others.wishing you well I hear they make it hard, have mercy I hope I dont haave to cross this bridge, my mom went through the same thing.
