Hi everyone! I am currently losing a lot of hair and it is really stressing me out. Does anyone recommend anything for it?
Thank you.

Hi, I get this every few years too. What makes mine grow back is Mane 'n Tail conditioner. Even cancer patients use it. It is at many big stores like Wal-Mart, by the other conditioners. It's used on show horses when they have a bald patch, to help it grow before a show. I have to tell you the special way to use it though. You don't use it like regular conditioner. You take a dab about the size of a quarter and massage it into your scalp and roots at night, and sleep in it, them wash it out in the morning. I only do it a few times a week and I see little short hairs growing pretty quickly. Also, there have been a lot of conversations about this, so if you want to read more suggestions, go to the search box in the upper right corner, and type "hair loss' and all those discussions will come up. A lot of people take Biotin supplement, or Knox plain gelatin capsules too. I had a bad reaction to Biotin that might be permanent, so I can't recommend that. There are also Hair and nail vitamins you can take. I might try that because my nails are breaking off daily.
Best wishes, there are remedies.
I haven't tried any of the above but I will try next time. I went to the nearest beauty supply store and got Nioxin shampoo and conditioner, not the kit, and it worked great! And I was losing a lot of hair!
Hi Krista.
Nice to meet you .
A few things:
1. Maybe see a nutritionist and have blood work done to see if you are lower in some vitamins and minerals and then supplement to fill those holes.
2. Try a very gentle shampoo and conditioner like Morrocco Method. It has a total different consistency and takes some getting used to but is fabulous and caring for fragile hair for those struggling with illness. I do not know if I can leave a link here but you can just google it. It has no chemicals only natural ingredients that are not only good for you but are good for your body. Basically everything you put on your body is the same as putting it in your body.
3. Try a silk pillow case. Sounds silly but does help if you have long hair while sleeping.
4. Only wash every two or three days.
5. Meditation. Sounds silly but I do it. I will start at the top of my head and go all the way down my body during a visualization healing every part that has concern :)
Big Hug.
Lori
I've used Biotin (it's inexpensive) with success....and although I hate NOT to wash my hair daily, I go about 3 days...it's not so bad in the winter but the summer in Texas is oppressively hot and I sweat from my head a lot...In summer I usually go only two days. There is lots of good info here in response to your post for you to consider. All the best, LupanCatwoman
Lupancatwoman, I use dry shampoo so I won't have to shampoo every day. You spray it on and brush it out. It's wonderful. You often have to try a few before you find the one that suits your hair type best. I have 3 or 4 favorites. Thank goodness they are the cheaper ones. Batiste tropical scent works well for very fine hair. Don't get the Batiste volume. It makes your hair all static-ky (?) and you can barely brush your hair through it.
I also tried the expensive Nioxin shampoo, no results for me, but others have had results. It smells like mint!

I use the matrix shampoo from jc pennys and also go 3 days without shampooing. Dry shampoo is also great like said above. Stress also makes ur hair fallout so i know its easier said then do e but try and relax.
