Fevers?

Hello Kathy,

Sorry i'm just getting back to you and i am pleased you told him about it and at least it's noted but you still need to remind your rheumo when you see him...i am sorry your L4/5 are damaged from your op, there's always something extra along the way.

Kathy if your depression is getting worse and your not on antidepressant drugs then see if they'll give you any to try and to check on your other meds for counter reaction as this is important...Lupus gets on great with depression as it thrieves off it and makes out symptoms worse that's the only trouble suffering with depression ontop.

Well if you have a decrease in your central nervous system, the neuro's will test you...i was tested several times years back and i'm the same, all these symptoms do come along with Lupus there's no hiding the fact...but it's better to explain to members and friends who have it then those who don't and don't even know what your going through.

We've nothing to forgive you for as we all need to let lose once in a while it does we good plus you've updated me besides and thank you kathy for that.

How you feeling now Kathy?

All my love your way Terri xxx

Hi Kathy,

It sounds like you have an addictive system like myself...you take meds for so long and they start to stop working how you want...i have to take valium and also frisum for nerves and depression besides my seizures, i'm on a right cocktail 4 times daily...i don't need to become a junky lol (i'm not laughing) emoticon

Well lets hope the physco and neuro can help you...my neuro i see won't get involved concerning my lupus, like other members do on here.

Kathy flares where we out terrible and when i saw my new rheumo last as he went through all my bloods i'd had done all that came out of his month was positive positive positive besides pink outlines where my system was in a flare when the bloods was being took.

Kathy your welcome anytime just rest well mate as it gets we all down :) xxx

Hi Kathy,

As you can see, many of us feel your pain. Its the most frustrating thing to have a fever and chills at the same time. One suggestion that I have is to focus on your extremities, primarily your hands and feet. Try to keep them from getting cold. I use handwarmer packets (available at sporting goods stores) and I have heavy socks for walking around the house. Also, I suffer from night sweats and occasionally go through 3 or 4 shirts when things are bad but I have found that taking a tylenol before bed sometimes helps. A cold towel around the neck will sometimes give you some temporary relief. These are just a few "tricks" to help you cope. Good luck.

Hello Kathy,

Don't apologize mate it can't helped and the way you are.

Sounds like the lots combined all in your face and neck and sometimes it feels like a bad flu when it hits you like how you have it.

I am sorry about your depression because Lupus thrieves off it mate and as long as your down your symptoms won't ease much, at the moment i'm going through abit all because a cold which is lingering as really lowered my immune system but i hope upping you depression tablets helps.

Kathy i do wish you the best of luck then come friday and if it is her don't let her fob you off mate, this is what i had with my first rheumo and i really came to words with him....i see my new rheumo 2nd time around next friday on the 30th and he's turned out to be lovely and listens to me.

Kathy my weekend was quiet but my staff Bruno as got kennel cough even though he's covered plus been losing blood from his penis and took him up the vets yesterday and he's got a swollen prostate through him not being bred and it causes to much hormones plus being 6yrs old as'nt helped, so come next thursday we take him again as they said castration is the best as it will return but could come with a tumour etc...so i'm having him done he's my baby mate.

Get some good rest Kathy and all the best, love & kisses Terri xxx

Hello Kathy,

I will admit the last week is getting me down to much going on in one go and my rheumo will be waiting for my answer on rituxan infusions which i'm going for, even the 400mg of plaquenil daily is'nt stopping my skin flaring from one place to another.

Kathy it's all about keeping your mind determind mate and not letting no rheumo be little you, which mine tried...watch the blazing shooting guns emoticonthough mate...just having the crack Kathy as we need something to cheer we up. lol

You should feel the difference with the amount she's upped your meds within 3 days the most and you'll know then if they're any good but i do wish with all my heart they raise your spirits.

Kathy it's been a worry for me with bruno because i've had no kids he makes up for it besides my past 2 staffs i've had....he's been sleeping alot with it though...plus i'll keep you updated.

Kathy you on about your face and pain and how it's affecting you...you may have sinusitis which i have also besides with the lupus as it can cause this problem and the affects are bad and hard to distinguish between lupus and that but to find out ENT department soon sort issues for you, this link explains the symptoms.

Keep strong and my loves with you. :) xxx
