HI All-------I was diag with sle lupus 6 yrs ago. moved from NY to Mass. & the Doctors don't seem to care. Has anyone experienced their rt leg & up to the arm, extreme pain? any help would be a gift. thank u -Peg

I have SLE and was diagnosed 5yrs ago finding out i was born with it....how long have you had this pain down your leg and arm?
I go through flares where i have pain lodge in area's for a while and cause some pain and it sounds like a flare you in where it's lodging in those area's or you can get a flare where the pain shoots around the body where it will lodge in the shoulder, then shoot to torh elbow, leg etc and i find that even more painful at times.
I do have a great Dermo and can never knock the main as he's treating me for dermo issues besides Sle but regarding my rheumo it's a no go situation with him, we always conflict...it's very hard to drop on a specialist today who really cares for the work they've studied in.

Hi Peg, I was in a flare 3 months ago and I was having extreme pain on the right side, where I wasn't able to sleep or anything. The only thing the doctor did was give me stronger pain pills and put me on meripex (restless leg med) I take it 2 times a day and it seems to help me alot. I hope you find relief soon..

Hi-Peg here-------- Thank u all for the feed back...........I have been alone for awhile with this & after having such a full life-ie: Pilot, Manger for an International research company & the list goes on, I find myself lost in the past & refusing to accept I am ill. I read all u all have to say to each other & it is so refreshing........

I know how flares act in my body, but the Doctors here in Mass. do not have the compassion I found in the ones in New York.
I don't know, maybe it is me & not the Doctors!!!! I have turned myself off & spending wayyyyyyyyy too much time in the past------wanting to be there--to fly airplanes, to ride my bike---just any thing I can not do now.......
Do any of u feel the same way or am I just feeling sorry for myself?????

Yes i think you are going through a flare and if you found the specialist's better in new york then you know your own judgement.
Peg your not feeling sorry for yourself the disease as shocked you, it did'nt me so much i just wanted to know what i'd got and how you go on about missing what you did...my life stopped for me at 18 and since then nothing but one thing after another....loads of we wished we could turn back the clock but that will never happen...it will be hard adjusting but you need to try your hardest, i had to and even more with the Lupus.

Hello Peg,
We all need words of encouragement at times because if not we get in a world where we feel lonely and lost and then that leads to depression which is definitely a no go with Lupus as it loves it so much it makes your symptoms alot worse...so try your hardest to keep strong...no point dwelling on what you did and i'm not being cruel but that would do none of us any good...you have to face up to what you have now and fight each day that arrives "SURVIVAL" to the disease and fighting it.
Start to put your emotions and ability into the site, make friends as we all fully support each other and you'd be surprised at how member's go through issues but they've always got a spare shoulder for any other member who needs it.
Just keep fighting and i'm here for you anytime.
