When I say my body is falling apart, I’m not kiddin. I’ve already had one knee replacement and I’m waiting for my other knee to take a dive. I have already torn some ligaments in that knee. My left shoulder has fell apart. I have torn my rotator cuff and ligaments. They are going to repair it November 13 of this year. I can’t wait because it keeps falling out of socket. That hurts really bad. Two Fridays ago, the base of my big toe broke in half while I was walking in my classroom. I just had a MRI on it Saturday. The doctor says the bone is so tiny that repairing it is useless but it really hurts. I am going to be the bionic women before you know it. My ligaments are deteriorating. Does anyone else have this problem?
Yep- tough to get old when you have collagen disease- muscle and tendons do tear or get damaged easily and then don't properly support the skeletal system leading to more problems I have had one knee and one shoulder replaced-the other shoulder is shot and needs to be replaced and I just tore tendons in my hip and butt!
Hello Kim,
Sorry to hear your going through so many issues but these do come with the territory of Lupus and how your toe broke..i'm having cracking with my toes at the moment beside my left hip keep locking but i do know that all you can do is wait for the bone to heal on it's own.
It puts we in so many issues to deal with it's a wonder we're all still with it.
A large hug to you Terri xxx
