Ok this isn’t really a discussion it’s more a matter of trying to do something to help ourselves. I don’t know if any of you are fans of the Ellen show but if you are you know she seems to really want to try to help people which made me think what an awesome platform that would be to help bring awareness to our ever so frustrating disease. I just e-mailed to show asking that she consider doing a segment about lupus explaining how debilitating it can be and how so few people seem to know anything about it.
I recently saw an episode with Michael J Fox and he was discussing how much money he has raised towards a cure for Parkinson’s so I thought maybe we could get a little towards lupus. So if anyone is interested consider e-mailing the show at ellentv.com and suggest she do a show on lupus and maybe if she gets enough requests she will consider it. I know what we really need is celebrity who has the disease(not that I wish it on anyone!!!) but I figured this might be a start.

Sent the email. And I thought I heard that Nicole Kidman has lupus so does Lady GaGa. At least thats what I heard.
