I would like to thump the peeps who think us prescription drug users are weak and there must some sort of Nutritious Smoothie that could cure all.
I certainly do not enjoy the fist full oral prescritions I gag down several times a days.
I know that I am alive because of my meds and IV's.
The other is peeps who proudly say" I don't use prescriptions medication'.
If there were some miracle orange that I could eat and heal all I would be all over that; Bugger off!

I appreciate your perspective, stiltgirl. For the overwhelming majority of members here, prescription meds are a very necessary part of managing lupus, and attempts to persuade members away from medications or "offer a way out" may not be in those members' best interests. What is more helpful than attempting to step into the place of the doctor and suggest alternative treatment plans is to share coping tips either for side effects or for life in general.
