Has anyone had tremendous amount of weight loss I have went from 162 to 129 in matter of weeks
Interesting!! I went from 172 to 220 in a matter of weeks!! Trade ya?!! This disease is a ruthless monster! Best wishes and good thoughts for you.
I have my moments where I feel nausea and have little appetite. I drop about 5lbs. in a few days. Once I feel better I gain it back n some. I really don’t have a big appetite n drink alot of water (due to my Sjogrens drying out my mouth).
I am taking Plaquenil n have noticed that it makes me nauseas at times. Don’t feel Hungary.
Theirs alot of meds that have sideffects that do effect your appetite.
Hope you find what’s causing it n get help soon.
Well you put a smile on my face. lol

I had dramatic weight loss in a 2 1/2 month period I went from 194 to 114. I did put some of the weight back on i gained back up to 130. I am 6 ft tall but now have recently over the past few weeks have lost back down to 119
As I decreased my Prednisone dose I lost about 70 (yes, seventy) pounds of water weight. I felt much better for a while but I soon needed to up the Prednisone again. Our meds can certainly affect our appetite and metabolism…
When I was in a major flare recently and my ESR levels were in the 200s I went from 165 lbs to 95 lbs in a very short period of time. While I was glad to lose the prednisone weight it started getting alarming. The hospital gave me some milkshake type of thing that was similar in taste to Ensure but much higher is caloric value. Maybe ask your doctor for that? And definitely check your ESR levels!
Healthy weightloss is about 1-3 lbs a week. That’s eating right and excersing. If you dropped 30 lbs in 2 weeks that’s pretty dramatic and should notify your doctor. Did you recently stop prednisone? Start a new drug or routine? How are you feeling (nausea, not eating, more fatigue then normal, or feeling just fine, eating as usual)?
