I have thyroid disease as well but fortunately for me mine is sadly managed. My sister on the other hand had a hard time managing hers. She has hasimotos thyroid disease which is also autoimmune. I hope you get all the help you can hang in there maybe you might need a better endocrinologist that can manage ur thyroid meds better the thyroid is a very tricky thing good luck!!! Hugs to you!!

Oops I meant mine is easily managed lol silly auto correct!!

I have hypothyroidism and Lupus. My thyroid suddenly switched to hyper. Had it abladed (sp) and now it is regulated. Good luck and sorry you are having such a hard time. Get well soon.

Hi Nicole, what is the difference between hypothyroidism and Hashimotos disease?

Oh my stars Miller! This just happened to me! hypothyroid for 30+ years and now hyPER! And both are from autoimmune disease attacking the thyroid and endocrine system.

Awesomed, you really do need an endocrinologist. I do too. Same issues as you it seems, but I can't get to the biggest city that has endocrinologists.

Wow…thanks for sharing…I feel supported…I do have drs…they are over crowded…very hard to see them…keep talking you guys…thanks

Thanks…you don’t think removal will help lupus chill out? I hate all these problems. …wouldn’t removal stop them? I’m scared of the recovery…keep talking…thanks

Hiya

I had half of my thyroid gland removed due to thyroiditis - since the surgery i have had no problems with my thyroid !

if the doctors are telling you theres no other choice then it may be best to just go for it !

If you need to talk im happy to discuss anything with you.

Wow…my head is spinning…I hate being sick…I live in south carolina and these drs are difficult…I’m alone…this is hard…

Hi Sorry you feel so bad. I am lucky I have family support esp. my hubby. I HAVE HYPO AND LAST YEAR IT CHANGED TO HYPer. That's 2 months after I found out you should take thyroid meds on an empty stomach and not with any other meds. If fact I think all meds should be taken separately.

Hope you feel better.

Cindy

I hope your seeing an Endocrinologist. Lupus can affect your thyroid. Cats are not good for someone with lupus you might want to scale down to 1 or 2. Changing the cat box is a problem because cats carry a parasite in the stool. Lupus pt's have depressed immunity due to meds we take like steroids & Biologics & are very susceptible for viruses & infections. Not sure whats going on with your thyroid. I have hypothyroid & take Synthyroid daily. Hope you get an answer to your problems.
