Good evening! In August of this year I went to my primary physician because I had been dealing with pain and other symptoms for some time. At that time I was diagnosed as post menopausal and that I couldn’t bear children…and I’m 28. A few doctors later I was diagnosed with Lupus SLE, thyroid disease and Sjogrens.
It’s hard everyday. There are days when I feel like I will beat this. Then I have flare days and I’m bargaining with God. A lot of things I love to do have been put on the back burner because my health is so temperamental. I’ve been in the hospital 3 or 4 times since my diagnoses. My life is not what I thought it would be at 29 for sure.
I’ve moved on from plaquenil to imuran and have yet to notice a difference.
Has anyone had tmj pain? It’s my arch nemesis currently.

sara, there’s a Facial Pain community on Ben’s Network. Have you seen it?

Hi! We’re about the same age, I’m just shy of 28 now. I was diagnosed in 2012 and for all the drugs and lifestyle changes I make, we see no improvement. I often feel as you do, bouncing from feeling like I’m at the top of my game to downtrodden and hopeless. But it gets easier with time and acceptance.
