Just wanted to say thanks for all the welcome messages. I was diagnosed about 3weeks ago with a skin biopsy (which got infected with staff infection) and am waiting for results of second biopsy. Hate going out in the sun, my skin hurts so bad even with sun block and a long sleeve shirt. I get home and am exhausted and sometimes run a fever. My thinking is not as clear. Then there are the the tremors in my hands. I assume that all this is typical for most of you. I hope to learn much from your experiences. Thanks for taking me under your wings.
Hello tacteach,
for such a lovely response to we all :)
I am sorry to hear that your first biopsy got infected and best of luck with your second one...i know how you feel about the heat and sun protection does'nt work for me either, so i'm mainly in doors through the summer and winter is a no go situation because of my Raynauds, so i totally understand how you feel and a good many of us.
Tremors in your hands can be from nerve damage and many more issues because everything involved with Lupus comes from the central nervous system of the brain (CNS)...so it's always wise to ask about a nerve test to see if any nerves are damaged in your system.
Terri :)
Yikes! Staph is a real 'issue' for us isn't it?
Sun protection/avoidance is another I found difficult (& still do).
Best wishes to you. Kaz xo
I am also new at this experience and can relate to the hand tremors. They lasted a short time for me, but occasionally when my muscles are really tight, they still tremor and spasm. Good luck to you and I hope these things pass quickly, so you may have some relief.
I have found it helpful to me to read the things others have posted. It lets you know you are not the only one, although sometimes it can feel like you are. I wish you the best.
