Here is JC's town, he went to a Red Cross Shelter, may not be able to get back home yet.
Hello Susan,
I saw it bad on the news tonight...new jersey is where it's caused so much damage and my heat goes sincerely out to JC and to all other members who have been put in such a bad position.
Love and prayers to you all.
JC my love and thoughts are with you...Terri :)
I will be praying for all, I will pray that everyone stay safe, and gets the assistance that is needed.
The news is saying that more and more gas leaks/fractures are being discovered in NJ. I also heard that they were trying to get people out of the coastal shelters, and move them further inland.
Hi Susan,
When i watched the news last night it shows you rescue men going to all properties and evacuting everyone.
It's such a terrible ordeal everyones gone through...it makes you wonder why things like this happen.
I know! they are saying we are going to stay in this ‘storm cycle’ and are predicting another ‘noreaster’, not of Sandy’s magnitude, but the last thing we need here is more water, from anywhere!
I feel so sad for all those going through losing their homes and the stress of our lupus members and their families. Has anyone heard from JC? I cannot imagine being uprooted from your safe haven when one is ill. And have we had any reports from any of our members in the storm area?
Hi Faye,
Scott posted on our moderator site on Fibromyalgia that he confirmed that JC was still in a Red Cross shelter. EMT's are taking care of his medical needs.
We will all have to pull together to keep things going. You can let me know if you need anything. Just leave me a message if I can do anything for you!
We have a storm cycle going here through next Wednesday, they are predicting another noreaster! Surely don' t need one!
Wishing you all well, I will post any news I get. Also keeping Psoriatic Arthritis in the loop.
Love and hugs to all,
SK
Finally heard from Renie, she is in upstate NY where trees and power lines and poles are down, having trouble getting gas for generator, and I heard on the news that heating oil is now scarce there as well as the tankers cannot get into the NY ports.
She said her iphone works sporatically, so she posted on the mod site of fibro. I was ready to call 911 or the Red Cross to her door, but she said her husband is resourceful. Lets hope so!
She said JC's area is just 'gone'! What is not totally flooded has been swallowed up by the ocean. The entire Island is devastated and I think the bridges are wiped out.
So glad he is still in a shelter, but he may have lost everything!
Hello Susan,
I hope you've managed to sort your basement out and i hope to god the next one that comes is hardly anything you've all suffered enough.
I do feel for Renie also what with her health, the last one hit her basement bad like yours and i hope her healths doing as best as possible and her hubby last time worked wonders for her like you bob as bless him.
Christ i really feel for JC besides...i mean storms are bad enough but to wipe your life from you is another thing.
Yes that was on our new about the tankers and showing the cues with cars...it's terrible.
Thanks Susan for updating. xxx
