Guys im pretty nervous. Starting last thursday I have had shortness of breath and chest tightness, or somettimes just an air hunger feeling - I have had NOrmal- EKG, chest xray just a few days ago with normal pulse ox
In june I had the same problem they did a CT of my lung which was normal
I had an ECHO in June as well- normal
Echostress in nov 2012- normal
doctor is having me go for PFT's tomorrow (pulmonary function tests)
I am so scared
interstitual lung disease?
pulmonary hypertension?
anyone have these or know how its diagnosed?
I dont have pleursy ... we dont know whats going on
its hard but you really have to try not think the worst diagnosis …it’s sounds like you’re doctors are being proactive and ordering all the right test, I know this because I started with the same symptoms in April 2012. .If there was any serious disease the recent CT would definitely have shown something so that’s good right?!?It’s very scary when you can’t breathe and no one can understand that unless they’ve been there too. .hang in there and I hope you find relief soon!

I have asthma ,COPD and heart palpitations. . what your going though is scary so don’t feel bad about it just try not to stress too much because thats no good for the lupus. are you on medication for lupus ??I have to take a lot of meds , cellcept helps my lung function a bit.
Yeah humidity is not good nor does it feel good to the lungs if they are agitated. .my lung Dr have me on symbacorit and tudorza Iinhalers 2xdaily and ventolin when needed.sometimes I take an 800mg ibebrofin if the other meds are not helping enough.
Dawn- do you have interstitual lung disease??? and why does ibprophin work?

I do have minimal scaring on my lungs from sometimes severe asthma. There’s also 2 small nodules but they look benign and haven’t grown since my first ct in April 2011. I see my pulmonologist every 3 month’s but sometimes more often
