Does anyone know if this type of severe facial nerve pain (on one part of face at a time including eye, ear, teeth, throat) is a Lupus condition? Feels like you have THE worst eye/ear/throat infection and nothing is there ... ???
Tootles, I am so sorry that you have to deal with this as it is the,most horrible pain I have to deal with. I have stopped going to the dentist, doctor, etc., when it happens because there is never anything there. I don’t know if it is a part of lupus but I know that it can be a,part of MCTD. I have it right now and I feel like my head is going to explode from the.pain. I haven’t found anything to make it completely go away but I know the frequency of the episodes has decreased since I was put on neurontin. Hope you feel better.
I have it, there's even a group here for it I think. There is another Ben's friends group for it at www.livingwithTN.org and there's also a lupus group there I think. It CAN be caused by lupus, but the 2 rarely go together.

I have had four episodes so far .. after going the first time and being told I had shingles, given the medicine, etc..... and never getting it, I do not go now even though it feels like the worst infections (eye, ear, throat, mouth) I have had... it just passes. I will look on the other site, as well - did not put them together since this is new to me.
