Need some ideas

I have a very restricted diet due to reoccurring blood clots (in my heart, legs, and lungs-all 4 quads), CDK 2, and raised liver levels. No vitamin k allowed at all and no dairy. I am looking for a meal replacement for when I am too sick to eat. Any ideas? Thank you.

Rejara, here is a link to foods without vitamin K. Being on a restricted diet is no fun. Sorry you have to deal with blood clotting issues. My first thought was smoothies made in a blender for when you’re too sick to eat. I’d get some ideas from the internet by typing in “smoothies”. Then I’d make sure to include only foods listed in the link I’ve included. I hope this helps.

Thank you

Your very welcome.

Let me begin by saying I understand I was on blood thinners for about four years and then to take away dairy too that is tough. I had a lot of success with homemade soups and stews. Since I was making them for myself I could control the salt content and leave out anything with high k levels I have a couple of recipes if you are interested Bonus they freeze really well so on your tired days you can just heat and eat Hope I helped God Bless Julie

I agree with and do the same as Julie:) its impossible to go wrong with homemade soups and stews and being able to freeze then simply reheat portions is invaluable when we’re super sick! Im take plavix for stick platelets, aggressive thrombophlibitis and protein c deficiency… Do any of you have a protein c deficiency too??? I’m asking because I know its is a vitamin k issue but my hematologist hasn’t mentioned any dietary restrictions yet… I’ve only been 15-20% below average with my protein c since diagnosed over 2years ago .dr said when levels are below 30% and/ or there’s clotting activity warfrin is started but she decided i can’t do warfarin or lovanox long term because my joints tear easily and the risk out ways the benefit…

I went through a period that we now know was serositis affecting my liver etc. I could only handle liquids or super soft foods. My Nutri Bullet was my salvation. I slowly started gaining back lost weight and I was able to get good nutrition with great smoothies and soups.
