I know I heard of other people with lupus who have this...hello out there!!!!!
I'd been having hip, lower back and pelvic inflammation and it comes and goes, although recently I had a flare of five days where I could hardly walk. Definitely couldn't get up and down from sitting or change position while laying. Really very bad pain, tender and inflammed. I went through a sort of lupus-like flare with low grade fever, malaise and some gastro symptoms . This last time was bad enough to need pain pills and see my doctor who did xrays and said I have sacroilitis.
I still need to do the MRI and blood test for the gene. My grandmother had this, and in her case, her bones did fuse together and she had a terrible hunchback. I'm hoping mine was caught before that could happen.
Anyway its an inflammatory arthritis and I know there are other lupies who have it and I'd love to hear from them...I think there's a woman named Julie (like me) out here...she also has Ellos Danlos..(I don't have that but I remember she does, lol)
I was told I have spondylosis, but nothing told to treat it. It does not give any pain to me. I do not take pain medication (personal choice) but I do rest whenever, I feel I need. Does not matter how long I need to sleep I just do.

Julie i have cervical spondylosis as you know and it affects the whole body besides the spine and when a gastro specialist checked me for coleiac disease besides IBS he clocked the spondylosis had gone into my ribs as it makes me bent some mornings and it makes you look deformed, so i have it in the ribs mate and it does hurt plus there's Anklylosing spondylitis which is similar but rare and more painful.
Christ mate you am going through the wars but like you say just more autoimmune collections for we...julie i just have to laugh mentally sometimes because it's just one thing after another popping it's head waiting to crab we that's how i feel and i've just been diagnosed with Buritis of the feet, toe bones twisting and opening up and which crack in galore besides my ankles and apparently the toes disforming pull on the tendons and ligaments from the foot through the legs...very nice.
Thanks Julie for asking about me..i had a cold come weeks back and it eased just lingering in my system and now it as come full blown chrsit my chest is bad besides coughing but it does make me on edge and i can't concentration through keep getting over heated.
I went to my new rheumo on my 2nd visit spend an hour with him he's a great man and very direct and truthful, i'm adding the discussion i put for members on what happened....in otherwords there's no help for me or meds.
