Happy NewYear to all. 2013 wasn't too bad. , except I lost a very good friend of 40 years. If my health stays the same as this year I will be happy.
Wishing everyone a wonderful pain-free year.
Stay Positive.

I like to read and write. Reading non-fiction books is a great escape for me:) I like to lay in bed at night with a book light - actual books:)
Hi. Louters
I know what you mean about always busy. I brought up 4 kids and worked til I was 68 and even after I retired I bot a small business selling consignment formal wear and altering gowns. because I was bored. The fatigue caused me to give up my business in August. I now do a few alterations from my home. I rest or sleep 15 hours a day. I am lucky to get the basics done at home. I am not in any pain, for which I am thankful. .. I have 2 skin diseases, and the itch is terrible.. dermatologist gave me and excellent salve for the itch which works great but it doesn't last long. I wake up scratching or my hubby wakes me up because I am scratching. I guess we just have to deal with it. I try to stay positive. It could be worse.

I play games on my iPad like “the room” or machinarium. They’re puzzle games that keep your mind active.
Pinterest… I (we) look for easy craft/DIY ideas that I can do with the family. It seems to help me not go into a deep depression, and we’re creating memories. Like you I use to move 100 miles a minute, now I’m lucky if I can make dinner when I get home from work. It takes a while to stop beating yourself up, BUT it will get easier once you find your pace. It sucks!
Thanks for all the ideas! I am currently working on some DIY stuff for my apartment and trying to get it to look the way I want it too. :) I am in a flare right now so nothing is getting done as of now but laying in the bed watching TV.
I just finished my spoon mirror, and as I was putting it together the spoon theory came to mind. I thought how fitting is that for my place. I even thought I could go with the theme of "got spoons" for my kitchen. ;)
To me the worst is feeling lazy. Like most of us we were use to doing what ever whenever we wanted. These past few months have been killing me. I feel so bad for my family.
I know Mark, I always feel so guilty that I can't do the things I used to do. I know we should not feel that way but it is very hard. When you get a flare it is the worst because you look fine but you can hardly function.
Hang in there hopefully it will get better!
Hey!, don’t beat yourself up. You have find /put a scheduler together , I found starting with movie time helped everyone to be together and spend time …Beverly L.

Putting a schedule together helps , even when the flare comes , get everyone in the bed with you it is so fun! My kids really enjoy(even though they are all grown) this and am not forgetting the grands , they argue over who will lay next to me on /in the bed, so each movie everyone change places so everyone can lay next to me during my flares . It is beautiful and I don’t cry anymore (wellthat much -smile). There is comfort !!!Beverly L.
