I feel for you, I had to give up work 18 years ago and dearly wish I can again. Just take each day as it comes and concentrate on you. Sending love and hugs xxc
I also would love to work. Like you I have worked for years. My plan was to never retire. It’s been 7 years now since I have worked.
I reached a point a couple of years ago when peace of mind was more important I have now let go with the possibility of working 6 hours a week.
Sending you a big hug!!
I am with you. My kids are grown and being at home is so lonely! I long for the energy and wellness to be able to work again.
I understand! Lupus caused me to have to give up a 35 year career. I tried working an easier job part-time but my Lupus brain wouldn’t let me remember the details and I had to quit.
So now I’m in the role of full-time Grandma and I try to do some volunteer work at the local animal shelter. It takes quite a bit of getting used to and accepting the fact that I just CANT work anymore.
Warm wishes!
Nikki
I still want to work too. I worked for 28 years and disability will not get all the bills paid and put me in that salary range I'm use to. I haven't worked full-time since 2005 because of a bipolar disorder. I worked a little(less than part-time) from 2008 to 2010 and almost lost my disability. Then in the beginning of 2013, I was diagnosed with Lupus and Kidney disease and they let me continue my disability. I even went back to college and got my Master's degree 2011 with the intention of working. Then I started getting sick. So now I'm not working. I'm on total disability with medical bills and student loans to pay back. I'm 53 now and I would give anything to be able, not only to work but to also hold down a job/career. I know how you feel. God bless you and I wish you the best.
i so agree lia, it is just so crummy to get stuck with lupus......i am in constant pain, i have flare ups all the time, i hate prednisone, and it really does stop you from doing work you once did , this is just a hate ful disease, my dad passed it to me, and my mom gave me her rheumatoid arthritis, so i am getting it from both sides.....purrs..catspaw1955
