Hang in there! I didn't notice any change for a month, It does get better. Its ok if you're angry about it, I think its a normal thing to feel that way. Angry or cheated in some way? Just take it one day at a time. That's all we can do. I have cried for no reason. Just felt it, and my husband would ask what's wrong, and I said I don't really know. Just let the feelings out, and this too shall pass. Its an adjustment for not just you but the whole family as well. My daughter wants to go to work and kick some butt (my words, hers are stronger : P ) because of how they are treating me there. She wouldn't have cared so much before my diagnosis. It's change for us all.
disarraycarr is actually going through... what we've all gone through and it does take time to except it but she fully knows she as our total support at all times.
Hey I know its frustrating tapering onto one med and off another and the hormonal imbalance that causes can rock your world. Take a deep breath, and take it on faith. The plaquienl works. It just takes time to build up in your soft tissues. thats why you can miss a dose or two and it doesnt really effect you. I was on it for almost 20 years and I had great results until my vision problems. I have a good feeling this is going to so well for you once you get through the initial stages. Eating right, reducing your stress, maybe even some good supplements cant hurt either. Keeping the rest of your lifestyle as healthy as possible can only help. As Terri said we are all here for you. God Bless
Hello. Ive been taking Plaquenil for everyday, nearly 4 years now. When I first started, from what I can recall.. I had really bad nausea and vomiting. This only occurred for a month maximum and then I was fine. I dont get any side effects from it now. And I still do have pain and flare ups at times, but overall and in general, the pain is definitely better controlled with me on it, than without the 'nil. Dont worry! I wish you all the luck! :)
I totally agree with you plaquenil is such an excellent drug mine was upped last month to 400mg's daily and already my spasms have lightened up plus it's not a steriod and if you can mentally fight any side affects your on a great drug.
