I am being admitted on Monday for a liver biopsy via my Carotid Artery. Has anyone had this done before who can tell me what to expect? I am scheduled to be in hospital for 7 days, but knowing my history, it will be longer. I always have complications. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard “that wasn’t supposed to happen.” Thanks ahead for any info on what I’m in for.
Cameron,
Although I have no experience with this procedure please know that our prayers for your healing and recovery have been presented to our Heavenly Father.

Cameron, Wishing only the best for you---- for a speedy recovery, and for strength and peace during this stressful time. Many prayers are going your way!
Will be thinking about you and sending you prayers and hugs. Take care.
Wow thanks everyone. I am so grateful to be a member of this site, the people I have met here are so caring. I will be watching Greg jo, thanks.
This seems safer than the puncture biopsy that I had 16 years ago when this whole autoimmune trifecta started. I had a puncture biopsy and couldn't move for 6 hours to keep the liver from bleeding. There was no incident. Ask your doc more questions about the procedure, side effects . . good and bad.
You got to hold on.
I, too, had a puncture biopsy and it hurt! I remember having to lay a while afterward, but it was a same day procedure. It saved my life!!!
