just because e have lupus doesnot mean we dont enjoy a nice dinner, movie, walk on the beach, midnight drive,reading a good book drinking a cup of joe, we have lupus ,luus dont have us, Being able to have someone relate to your feelings can be hard but if you are among others that have the same if not similar obstacles that you endur on a daily basis.

Be nice to have someone to go out and shop, movie, have a cup of joe, read a book and when you say you are having a flare up or your tired you need a miniute, you help one another because that person relates.

Also - and this IS a brain fog moment! Once I was trying to add a friend that I already had! I spent an hour trying to figure it out before it dawned on me to check my "friend list"! Ha Ha!

Just wanted to make a suggestion, being that we live so far apart, I live in New York...First, this is a great idea getting to know each other, and Second, we could join Google and multi chat. It is a new feature they have with their social media. Like FB has mini chat, Google has multi chat. Actually they are not the only one who does this. There are other apps, so to speak, that could be attached to this page and we could chat through here. Yes, we look awful on camera, but what better excuse to get our hair and makeup done. AND, we dont have to leave the house AND, if we get tired we can lay down and chat. They also have virtual classrooms that we can join and be avatars too. My friends and I used to meet in YoVille. It was surreal at best. My friends live all over and this was the only way we could meet at times. So maybe our moderators can investigate this and we can come together virtually. Just a thought...
It would be even better if members here would chat with one another,... i find that no one uses the chat room... i have met a few authentic people on here, but know that i went out and extended the first hello.. so many times i have attempted to reach someone to chat with, getting no reply. It would be great to meet others in any way that works! thank you for your outlook,

And I just need to explain my idea from before. Video chat, not a chat room. We can video chat as a group. Google has this on their social media group, like FB. Most laptops now already have a webcam and microphone installed. My old home computer does not. So I bought a webcam and microphone. Or we could Skype. And yes, it would be great to meet people face to face and have tea, but we could Skype and still have tea. I do this with my friends who live in other states.

If you want to set up a Skype account it is easy and free! My name on Skype is JeanJeanne11. They made me use numbers too, I guess there are other JeanJeanne's out there. Or others who love David Bowie, so they use it too. Now, I was just on Skype just to make sure it was in place on the new laptop. They have group video chat, but they mentioned that is costs a nominal fee. When I upgraded to the current Skype, the group video chat thingy showed up. So, I dont know if that is free or costs a little. I will check later. And, yes, I look awful on the webcam!!! Oh well!

I had skype last year and uninstalled it because i thought it was making my pc go slower but when your taking to someone abroad it's like you mays well be on the moan:) lol

The first time I had Skype, when it was new, my computer crashed. I had it uninstalled and never wanted to use it again. A few years later my daughter moved to France to work and I reinstalled it. The difference between then and now is much better. They were not that secure when they first started. When I started using it again, our connection was very good and had no virus problems. Although she did get dropped a few times, she called back and we resumed our conversation. I think this technology is amazing. So sci-fi. All that was predicted... I tiny chat on FB with a few friends. That connection is pretty good. Very secure.
Well, we have options, so no one really has to feel that they are alone. That way we can get to know each other and take it from there.
Do the moderators know the demographics of the group, cause that would be a good start too. Like I mentioned in one of my comments somewhere, I am not going to let my illness consume me. It almost did. Out into the world I go...

Well i really hope it works better for you now plus testing it out..i recentley got rid of incredimal through slowingmy pc down after i's paid £50 to join...i know madness.
Regarding demographics i don't know but i'll send a message now to JC and ask him for you.... and venturing into the world either by connnection or getting out slowly is better than nothing.

There are so many other things to do at times when we cant leave the house. Everyone has a talent of some kind. Write a book, poem, blog, create videos, put them on YouTube. Sewing, painting, crafts..... Even prepare for the bad day with a movie and your favorite snacks. I dont know how many people know this, but, if there is a Shop Rite nearby, they deliver. I tried it, not with perishables, but with the heavy stuff I cant carry up 25 steps.

We can do the google and chat I have to use less funds as possiable.
