Flu shot

Does any one have symptoms from the flu shot? I feel horrible. I know it’s not a live virus but I do think it is making me feel awlful.

I do most definitely. Every time I’ve gotten the flu shot I ended up feeling terrible about a week later. I’m just not sure if I want one this year because if that. I hope you feel better soon!

I get the flu shot every year, never had any reaction. If you have the flu inside before you get the flu, you will get a reaction. Sorry this is happening to you. Hope you feel better.

Sorry to hear it!!! I took it once and ended up having a big flare!!! Didn’t took it anymore and don’t accept my son and daughter to take it as well!!! xxx

My husband in knoxville also took it at a CVS and ended up with his eye closing for 6 months. He had to go to a Neuroologist and found out it will go away soon, which it did after 3 months. No more flu shots for him ever again. My sons dont take it either.

I don't get them anymore either. Always had bad reaction to them. I think people with lupus some of us anyway are more sensitive to the vaccine than others.

I was thinking of getting a flu shot this year ... last year I got the flu REALLY bad when it was going around. I took Tamiflu right away and still ended up very, very sick. Like 104 fever, in bed for days. I honestly feel that if I hadn't taken the Tamiflu I would have ended up in the hospital.

I still don't know whether or not I have lupus, but any time I get sick it seems like it hits me 10 times harder than anyone around me. :(

I just had one last week and I am fine. I have been getting them for years. I think that some people are just more sensitive. Like we don't all have the same lupus symptoms.

Just a thought......

I no longer get them the last time I did it took more than three months to just feel ok . I ended up with a strain they didn’t include in the shot so I am better off not tempting fate

Everyone's body reacts differently to the flu shot or any "vaccination" for that matter. I've gotten the flu shot for at least the last 10 years, and the worst response that I have had was having a minor cold afterwards. But anyways, hope you feel better!!

I got swollen glands and felt like a light flu for 2 days after the shot.

The day after I got the vaccine I felt bad, low fever, aches, need to lay down. It only lasted a couple Of hours then I was fine.

Good topic! I have not gotten one for three years now…to afraid of how I will react. Although in January I caught a terrible stomach flu that did me in for a month. Scary!

I had a flu shot twelve days ago and have suffered from high temperatures, a sore throat, coughing, fatigue and severe joint pains ever since.

I usually get a flu shot every year but since I am on Prendisone and Imuran now I am scared to get a flu shot. My Dr said I could get one but I have talked to 2 different Pharmacist and they both said I shouldnt. I am so confused.

i,ve only had 1 flu shot in my life and i will never have another,it threw me into a full blown attack,it took me 3 yrs to get it under control,i spoke with naturalist about it and he said the stuff in them are not good for people with auto immune disease.good luck it seems like it effects everyone differant

Several of my co-workers have had reactions to the flu shot and they don't have any chronic health concerns. I had a mild reaction that lasted a day or so but that's all. It sure beats being down for two weeks.

I’ve been getting the flu shot for the last few years & have been fine. This year, about a week & a half later, I started not to feel well then had terrible muscle pain & a fever. Not sure if any of it was related to the flu shot as I have been also under a lot of stress.
