Fatigue anything that can help stop it other than high doeses of sterios

What haven’t told you is that my old sister has systemic lupus too. She was misdiagnosed for many years. She’s lost her leg to this decease and has many other problems. Shortly after she was correctly diagnose. I was. My mother and younger sister both have rheumatoid arthritis.

I have live with joint pain most of life, it has been hard but the fatigue Is the worst for me I’m a very active person and for the last six month all I can do is sleep so I can make it thru work. I need to work have medical insurances. I barely do my volunteering at the firehouse or enjoy my two beautiful grandchildern.

Hello firelady,

Sorry to hear about your sister having SLE and also losing her leg because of it....besides myself having DLE/SLE my youngest sister was diagnosed early this year with skin trouble and also Lupus in the blood but when i was diagnosed i'd inherited it off my parent's and so had she, as both my parents had issues which come from Lupus.

Has your mom and younger sister been checked out also regarding Lupus as it could be inheritence in your family genes?

Lupus does cause these fatigue issues and unless your on the right meds to help them abit...it can feel alot worse and you can also have a flare with this in your system which will make you alot slower but although you've always been on the go, as i've always been like it although i've been through alot myself...i've still had to slow my lifely routine down to a pace i've had to live with because i've got no other choice....over doing things will tell on your body more and you'll feel it also...I'm really sorry your losing out on the happieness of your grandchildren.

I know the disease itself is stressing to the limits but it's something we can't loose either....so you really do have to adjust your life to help your body.

((My heart deeply goes out to you)) Hugs & kisses Terry xxx
