False Positive Hepatitis C?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone else has had a false positive Hepatitis C in their blood work? I know about false positive Syphillis tests being related to Lupus, but curious if there could be a link to the false positive HepC. The doctors don't have much to say about it, but that it is very uncommon for this to happen. I feel like an autoantibody interfered with my blood results.

While I'm on the subject of lab work, how many of you have had a positive anti-Smith antibody?

do you mean a false positive Hep C in your labs, or a positive anti-Smith. sorry for confusion
