Antiphospholipid antibodies

I am always positive for anti phospholipid antibodies(false positive for syphilis) and have been since i was a teenager, probably born with it.... I have superficial thrombophlebitis and was diagnosed with protine c deficiency(im prone to blood clots, miscarriages)

a couple of years ago so I've been on baby asprin ever since. Btw this was at the beginning of "something"is definitely wrong with me. So id love to know if any of you have a similar blood disorders

and have a dvt/pe yet? Fortunately I have not, just a lot of clotting in my small vein in my left leg..my rhuemy and the Hopkins rhuemy said the antiphospholipid antibodies test very significant in helping to diagnosis SLE... of course there's the symptoms check list and other blood work but you and I know how a once positive ANA can become negative or your lupus anticoagulant can test positive but the dr is still hesitant to diagnose you! Honestly I never really paid attention or cared about my labs results probably because I was never searching for a diagnosis and was in denial anything was wrong with me... sometimes ignorance is bliss;)

I have a false + for many years too and am maintained on aspirin- never had a problem with overt clotting though. And my RPR isn't always positive either I did once get notified by the health dept that I had syphilis once- I had to explain to the poor worker how that was a false positive

I get the false positive for syphilis too. My ANA and double stranded DNA are always positive. My lupus anticoagulant is up too. My rhuemy initially said he couldn't diagnosis me with lupus because he hadn't seen symptoms outside my blood work. After I came in with a flare and my rash is getting worse (it covers my feet, legs, arms, and hands) he finally 'officially' diagnosed me.
