Dear Smoky Mountain Snowflake,

This is unbelievable, but true. This has just happened to me as well. I went from 20/30 vision to being legally blind

all within an instant.

Please know that I understand, I am living this and I am praying for you.

When I had my appointment with my Retinal Specialist, he suggested an option available to me other than surgery.

I received an injection of JETREA in the office that day. I had a 30-40% chance of regaining my vision. Within

three weeks my vision was 20/50. I consider this injection to be a huge success. Please consider discussing this option with your doctor.

Bless you California Girl.....I will be praying for you too.....thank you for your story and advice.......

........when my eye problem started on Tuesday it was a LOT of lights, flashes, streaks and lots of floaters.......I had never experienced anything like that............I called my eye Dr. and she told me to come on in immediately.......she said it was the vitreous lining detaching and hopefully it would go slow and not involve the retina......so far I have not lost any vision PRAISE THE LORD and I am still watching and waiting...........I am still seeing the floaters..........she said the process could take up to 4 weeks but if I had another episode worse than the first one I would know it was the retina and I will have to see the retina specialist here...

::hugs:: Oh, eye troubles can be so scary! I've struggled with my eyes for varying reasons since I was eight, and it makes me no less nervous now if something goes awry. (Truthfully I've been avoiding seeing my ophthalmologist, bad me.) I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a positive outcome!
