Does anyone get red palms and fingers?

Hopefully it puts your mind at ease just to let you know you are not alone. Yes this happens to me all the time. Unfortunately I don’t have any advice or remedies for it ;(
All I can suggest is try wearing gloves whenever you are outside. I have bought some fingerless ones. Still trying to figure out if this actually helps or not. Good luck!!

Hello Queenie,

I suggested gloves like yourself as i type in them besides that's why there's so many cock ups on spelling.lol

Putting moisturizer on before the gloves i find holds the heat.

Love Terri :)

Tez, thanks for all the advice, and thanks for everyone's input. I am finding that I get cold even in warmer weather, which is a suprise. I've always been extremely warm natured and would go out to wash my car in 40 degree weather and without a sweater. So I'm shocked that I need a sweater when it's 74 degrees inside my house. Guess I will get used to it and get some thermal underwear as you suggested. And I'll look around for a pair of gloves. I'm sorry to hear you have to wear them even when typing. Bless your heart. : )

Hello Laura,

Raynauds follows so many autoimmune diseases and we have loads of members with the condition but it's to what degree it hits you but your welcome to the info and i hope the warmth links help.

Yes you'll also suffer come warmer weather because the blood vessels still have a came altering, heat in the summer is like hot water hurting you..if you get my drift and if you have skin trouble besides with your Lupus besides heat affecting you besides which i have all this...you can't enjoy summer properly and winter becomes a living nightmare.

Well i can cope with 40 in the summer under shade for only 10 mins and now in the home the thermastate is on 22 for 80 and i still can't get warm but thermal clothes we do feel the benefit from and where the gloves are concerned.

If you buy from ebay they sell pks of cotton gloves and they work out alot cheaper than a shop, yes i need them to type in time you'll notice the mishaps with my spelling but there's only so much editing you can do. lol

Do takecare Terri :)

Thanks Tez!!! I don’t wear gloves when typing so I don’t know what my excuse is for my “cock ups”?!?!
Lol!!! Thanks for the lotion tip

Hi Queenie,

Your welcome mate and you dow cock up when you comment as i've noticed...i do through the gloves and if my concentration is lower than it should be...really i should keep off the pc when i'm like that.

I use Niva cream for my hands but it is good for holding moisture and warmth with the gloves :) xxx

Hey Tez, Don’t do that!!! We would rather read your typos than not hear from you at all

Queenie sometimes i have no choice than to keep off if my eyes get to bad besides with the sjogren's, the pc totally does them in....thanks for the lovely comment mate :) xxx

Hello..I have raynauds where my fingers, toes, & nose turn colors..what I do is I keep gloves and socks on with a ski mask that covers up my nose..... I have a heating pad also to keep warm..

I have raynauds and I am on a blood pressure med for it. My fingers from about second knuckle down turn white an sometimes purple like someone is cutting off the circulation. I keep gloves at all times. My fingers are never warm but I have not had as many episodes since being on the new med.

I have had Raynaud's for 22 year (since I was 14) both stress and cold can make them change colors. My usual patern (red, white, black, red) then normal again. They usally tingle and sometimes had sharp pains when blood is trying to flow again. Some time they only get red or red a white. There is a test they can do to see if your veins colapse in your hands in feet (Raynauds)
