I know how you are feeling not knowning what to do / or what to think , exspecially since you haven't found good doctor yet . But keep trying , go to family service department and ask them for medicial help or go to the hospital where you live and ask do they have some kind of program that will help you with finding a doctor . I hope that this help in some kind of way !!! Just don't get to STRESSED out about it , try to stay as clam as possible , goood luck ....talk with you later ...Beverly L.
hey...how are you today? Know what I made up a different kinds of pain chart for people like us to fill out bc the current pain index lacks enough "pixels" to give a clear pic. If I post it would you mind filling it out---or would you like to fill it out? it seems to me the better we can identify and name a problem or pattern the closer we are to finding a remedy. i will go work on that right now
Research, Research, Research... Online, person, ask doctors in the RA field to refer colleagues even go to the local 4 year University and see if they recommend places for their medical students. I also came across an article listing the best doctors and hospitals for 2011, I forget the publication name. Its a huge medical trade magazine.
My RA does the same thing, she does not answer a lot of questions, but I continue to restate the question in different ways until she gets the hint, I am not leaving without an answer. The hands thing, I get too, I am not sure how to describe it either, but, I wring my hands often and just sit down when it happens.
I too am searching for a new doctor by going to the best hospital in my area and then making an appt with their RA and getting a lead from that doctor. Also, I get second opinions.
Ya I would

Try contacting your local chapter of the Lupus Foundation of America. They may have a list of rhuematologists that have a special interest in treating Lupus. Good Luck in your search.
