Ports can be tricky things if not properly kept and accessed!
I’m scared every time I go in there I’m going to get an infection. I talk to my rheumatologist about it and I talk to the office manager about it and so far no change so I’m trying to get home healthcare. But my advice to you is to go until you get the right fit someone who listens and you’re comfortable with
It's hard to find a good Rheum I have drove two hours away to go see mine and he retired. I learned so much from him and he was always going place to learn about lupus. For the past year in a half I have not seen a Rheum or had my labs done. I to was pushed from my primary Dr. and I went back and forward until I got tired, and Im so tiered of it all. Having a HMO is a blessing and a curse and Kaiser has some good doctors and some that dont have a clue of what Lupus is and everyone has different experiences with pain , fatigue, eating, hair loss and all the other stuff that comes with lupus. So to answer your question I dont have a Rheum right know and I dont think I will until Kaiser get one that I fell knows more about lupus than I do. be blessed godsgirl
If you're in San Diego we just go good one, if you interested.
