Super stressed

I have been so stressed and emotional lately. Everything/one irritates me. I am a wreck. This lupus is messing with my mind-

It will get better, your going to have plenty of days like this, you just have to stay strong and remember dont stress because thats harmful to you, its like the lupus feeds off of stress. I have the same problem at times, I use to ask myself was I bipolar lol but thats one of the things that comes with lupus. Its an emotional rollercoaster and some days are better than others. Hang in there.

Lol, I have been having MANY days like this lately, especially yesterday. I literally feel bad for anyone or anything that is in my path on those days, but I just have to find something or talk to that one go-to person that knows how to make me smile or laugh to make myself feel better. The thing that sucks is that everything just feels so out of your control on days like that, but try to retort to a source of happiness for yourself, whether it be some alone time, a gym sesh, hanging with a friend or splurging on icecream or something to help you vent. Try to keep your head up, best of luck & here if you ever need to talk!

My husband has been transferred...to HI. Sounds great...yeh! Took him until this weekend to tell me how he wanted to move...full moving or shipping ourselves. Now have to get container, materials and decide what is essential and what we can live without. Oh, and I have to do special things to move our cars, change I.D.'s, get new doctors...there, and "pack". Oh, and he decided to rehab the house for a better sale.

Sounds funny...but the point is "life" is stress. Sometimes, just curling in a ball in the dark for an hour is good, or maybe a walk. A funny movie, or a phone call with a family member. Any of these things can be your own special stress reducer.

You will find your balance...I am sure.

Big hugs

Thanks everyone. Stress triggers my flare ups I got really sick after that post.

LupieFighter,

Your name says it all. Sometimes we have to fight, even if it's just not to stress out. Life is going to throw you curve balls but you have will find a way to either let them hit you or learn to duck.

They say laughter is the best medicine and sometimes it can be an absolute, albeit, temporary cure for what ails you. I buy DVD's that take my out of my life even for a little bit. I feel refreshed and ready to face the rest of the day. A good book works the same way.

Maybe for you it's playing with your pet or your kids for a bit....whatever it is for you, you will definitely find your balance.

I am also moving back to Hawaii in about 6 months. Which island you going to? Hope that the sun there will be kind to our skin. Also if you have pets that you want to ship over there better look into the quareentine laws they have in place. It takes 4 months to do all the test on your pet before it will even be allowed to enter the islands. Aloha!

We are moving to Oahu...preferably around Kailua or Keneohe. We have already done the things required for our dogs, but it's nearly impossible to find a short-term rental that allows pets. They are service dogs and not optional.

I, too, am hoping that the weather will be much better on me than it is now. I am in Vegas and already reaching over 100. Problem is that there are no trees here to block the sun and it glares just as if off of the water. Driving to the doc in my car (no tint) leaves me burned and feeling awful for several hours. From a beach bunny in S.D. to having to hide from it, esp with the beach so close, is really irritating. I am looking at the clothing with built in sunscreen as well as finding good sun protection lotions. My husband has bought an array of hats, so good there. Now I just need to figure out how to see with sunglasses instead of my reg glasses...welcome to Life with Lupus, lol.

Hope to see you there.
