I am going to be moving back to Fort Wayne, IN in the near future and I am looking for doctors for my Lupus/Fibro and possibly an Orthopedic surgeon for knee replacement. I've already had one replaced here and it went very well but I don't know if I will have time to get the other one done here. Any help or recommendations are appreciated. Reet

Thank you Tez. It seemed to me from what I have read that Dr. Ringwald sounded really good as did Dr Reddy. None of the orthopods that I read about listed knee replacement as their primary speciality. That has me a bit concerned but I am sure I will find out more if I need a surgeon.

You didn't know this but you helped me out as well. I'm not happy with my Rheumie, and thinking about changing. Reet is moving to my hometown! I don't know about knee replacements, but I had my foot surgery at OrthoNortheast and I have one of the best doctors.
Trisha, My BIL told me about a knee doc he used that I will be seeing as he also has great reviews. Dr Pritchard and I think he is at ONE. I have been there in the past for my carpal tunnel. I think I am going to try Dr. Ringwald. I have heard about about bad rheumies there from my sister and a friend. Good luck with your trying someone new. Let me know how you do with a new doc when you change. We will be returning in another couple of months if not before. We are looking at houses there this week-end. We will only look at ranch homes. No more stairs if we can helop it. Are you getting around better now? I read some of your bio and you have had it pretty rough too.
We are house hunting as well, we have outgrown this little one : ) Yes, only one story house for me. I actually climbed up a flight of stairs this weekend because all the bedrooms were up, and said no more. I'm not walking unaided yet, but I just went outside with my puppy and managed to walk to the end of the sidewalk and back twice without a crutch or a cane : ) Ice is my friend for pain though...
Good luck with the house hunting, Trish. There are a lot of good deals out there it seems. Of course compared to here anything is a good deal. We have been looking at some Westport homes and will see one this week-end. I hope each day you get better.

Thanks, we're taking a second look at a house tomorrow : ) I'm getting around without any crutches, my husband says I still hobble, but its an improvement.
I've see the Westport homes, never been through one though. Good luck on your search, let me know how it turns out this weekend?

Thanks Trish for the good wishes. And I am glad that you are off the crutches. That has to be a huge relief. We are looking at a house in Aboite tomorrow off 14. Then the Westport off Leesburg Rd on Firday, I think. Not sure how I feel about the Westport there but will see how it goes. We used to live on the NE side and loved it there. I will just be relieved not to have staris.
