Thinking of and praying for you and your BIL, Reet! ::hugs:: Hope your healing process goes smoother now. So sorry to hear things have been difficult!!
Thank you all for all the prayers and healing thoughts for me and my BIL. Greg is doing well. I just got out of the hospital again after my very high fever that they still don't know what caused itl I am home with a pick line and antibiotics 3 times a day running in the IV. It will continue like this at least another week or so. PT is also coming in too. None of this has anything to do with the surgery which is healing nicely. I am not on too much right now but pray for all of you. Reet

Darn, I feel so bad for you! Glad to hear your back is doing OK. Surround yourself with healing and light we are all doing our part...together you will get better!
Love and hugs, Geneva
Somehow I never got this last message, Ann. You are too funny yourself! My humor hasn't been as great as normal but I try like everything to have it handy. I give my PT guy all kinds of trouble and we have a lot of laughs. He is like a son or nephew.
I am not where I think I should be so I am calling the surgeons nurse practicioner Monday and see about going to out to PT again because I am not good at doing it at home and there is no equipment to challenge me either. I still need naps and a lot of bed time and I guess that is normal. I read what is going on here as much as I can and I pray for all of you. I just can't keep up with all the posts. Gentle hugs to all. Reet
Reet, so good to hear from you. Love that you are feisty with the PT guys, such a good sign! It will take awhile, my brother had a similar surgery ( no fusion) before you did and he is just starting PT. He is much better now, had the surgery on Valentines day. I know you will feel better soon!
Love and hugs,
Geneva
I can't get into a pool yet. The wound has to heal more but I would not be against doing that.

Do they have a therapeutic pool Reet. Aquatic therapy has been so helpful through all of my orthopedic surgeries. Be Well(er). Ann A.
Well, my PT started 2 days after surgery, so to speak.. Because I couldn't manage to get into a car very well and something else I went to a rehab hospital which did a lot of PT and OT with me. I was going great guns and felt wonderful mostly and was released after 10 days. I was actually sad to leave there because the entire experience was nothing but positive. I have never been anywhere that I felt like it was close to perfect. Then I came home and did great for several days and went to one PT session and that was it. The infection showed itself and I have yet to catch up to where I was at the rehab hospital. PT here is not enough that I do so I am going to have to be proactive and get it ordered again. I have to push myself to go out of the house most of the time because I am such homebody so this is a big deal for me. The surgery ended up going twice as long to do more repair then the thought and to get rid of loads of scar tissue so I consider myself lucky that I don't have worse problems. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. Lv, Reet
