I am in pain every day! I hear of stories about people who have lupus and they are doing great. That’s not me! I am nauseous and get sick to my stomach often. I have a pain on my left side that never goes away. My fingers, elbows, hips, and knees hurt so bad that I wake up at night crying. My body aches all over like I have been beat with a bag of rocks. Am I doing something wrong?
Are you on Meds? prednisone helped my pain enormously until the Plaquenil had enough time to start working.
Hi Kari, do you take any meds for it? I say Lyrica for the pain and Zofran for your tummy. Works for me! Now I keep the sublingual Zofran with me all the time…never know when nausea will hit me.
Hi Kari
I have not been on meds for very long and recently got diagnosed.
I had been having pain for a long time. Same things elbows which hurt but kept locking up and knees and shoulders. But finally I finally got a Dr to give me all of the right tests and found out not only do I have Lupus that I have Autoimmune Hepatitis and Sjogrens .
And they put me on Imuran and Prendisone . And I feel a whole lot better but I have bad days.
I now have to talk to him about pain that I have been having under my left rib cage.
So many of these symptoms I had for years and been dealing with. The Lungs and the muscles and joints. All you can do is just keep going, switch Drs if you are not getting any help.
The first Reaumatolagist that I went to after being in bed for a week with fever and joint and muscle pain and had all of my tests that said pos. Charged me 400.00 to tell me if I didn’t have a sore in my mouth I probably didn’t have Lupus and told me to stay out of the sun. I didn’t get any help till a year later from a new primary Dr who took it more seriously .
So hang in there I know it’s tough and it sucks. Let me know if you need to talk
Thank you for your support. I am on Imuran, Planquenil, Deluxetine, and pain meds. I have about 18 pills a day. I would think that with all of that I wouldn’t have much pain, but I do! I just get tired of hurting all the time. I am nauseous a lot as well. I have lupus, fibermyalgia, and rheumatoid arthritis. I am 38 and feel like I am falling apart. I was diagnosed last Aug. So it’s been right at a year.
I have the same pain the same pain I have had under my left ribcage since I first got sick. It has never went away! I think it’s inflammation but it sure can hurt.
Yes it can. I thought I was having a heart attack or something cause the pain kept getting worse and worse . It has happened a lot but that was the worst it has been
HI YOU ARE NOT ALONE I TO HAVE PAIN AND IM IN PAIN ALL THE TIME I'VE SEE EVERY DOCTOR I COULD AND IM ON PAIN MEDS THAT ARE VERY STRONG. I JUST SIGNED UP FOR A CHRONIC PAIN CLASS THAT THIS WILL BE MY THIRD TIME GOING TO. I HAVE LEARNED SOME THINGS THAT HELP AND SOME THAT DONT, I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT I DONT HAVE LUPUS, THAT IM FLARED UP WITH FIBROMYALGIA SO I GO SEE MY DOCTOR WHO THEN SENDS ME TO THE LUPUS DOCTOR WHO THEN SENDS ME TO THE NEUROLOGIST AND THEY ALL HAVE ME CONFUSED LOL. ONE THING I KNOW FOR SURE IS WE HAVE TO FIGHT THIS THING AND WE MUST UNDERSTAND THAT ALTHOUGH DOCTORS CAN BE HELPFUL AT TIMES THEY ARE PRACTICING MEDICINE. PLEASE KNOW YOU ARE NOT ALONE AND TAKE IT DAY BY DAY MINUTE BY MINUTE OR SECOND BY SECOND.IM PRAYING FOR YOU AND REMEMBER EVERYONE LUPUS IS DIFFERENT AND OUR HEALING IS ON THE WAY. BE BLESSED GODSGIRL66
