Might finally get some answers!

You are a sweetie Anne! I’m so glad you didn’t hurt yourself when you fell. It’s great that you are encouraging other ladies to take care of themselves. I know how quickly someone older can go downhill over what would be a minor health issue for someone younger. My grandfather had a quick downward spiral that started with the flu and then triggered several other health problems (ending with a stroke). Within three months of catching the flu he passed away.

Long term use of prednisone can also make your bones more brittle, so a fall is more likely to lead to a broken bone. A friend of ours, who is in her early 60’s and has severe RA had required long term prednisone treatment. She twisted her leg when opening the fridge and broke her femur (thigh bone). Luckily she recovered well and is fully mobile again.

That makes me worry for you girls who have had long term inflammation and required prednisone. That’s why I’m so happy you are doing well with that weaker leg. Strong muscles will keep you upright!

Hi Roni,

Hope you are having a good day, and soon get to the real diagnosis! Sending good thoughts your way!

Thanks SK! Tomorrow I go for the long list of blood work. Was wondering if I should take my NSAID in the morning before I go or wait until after? I forgot to ask her at the appointment and don’t want to skew the results one way or the other.

Thanks Anne =)

They are not “fasting” so I will take my Arthrotec & Tecta as I normally would! =)

Hello Roni,

How you feeling mate and sorry on replying late.

I would'nt worry to much about the heart murmur as my eldest sister was born with one and she'll be 47 in october and she's gone through life ok...the only trouble she's mainly suffered from is a gastric stomach but otherwise she's fine, last time i saw her.

Regarding your tests...they would become higher in status than other's plus it down to how quickly they want the results...it's only the same as if you attend for a scan in out patients here and someone comes from off a word...they come priority straight away.

It won't be long now before the 19th and i hope that goes fine.

All my love Terri xxx
