I recently have tested positive for lyme disease. Not sure how to go about this one. There really is not much online about it. I hope I caught it early...
I feel there is a real correlation here. I was initially diagnosed with Lyme 3X in the early 1990's. the odd thing was, I did feel better after antibiotic treatment but I was persistant in telling my doc that I did not feel it was Lyme even though my titre was positive. They eventually listened to me and ran a Lupus profile and sure enough it was positive.
My daughter is now going through the same thing, but her Lupus bloodwork was negative so they treated her for Lyme.
I am not sure what the connection is but truly feel that with autoimmune diseases that we can have false positives.
Good luck.
Hello wolfspirit,
I've never been diagnosed with Lyme disease but have come across great people who do and i really hope they have caught it at the early stages and your well covered insurance wise as the antibiotic's alone are very expensive...if you do join the Lyme site which JC as put for you, i suggest getting intouch with (Allergic) Ally as she's very knowledgeable with the disease and also having it herself.
The link below i'm adding covers all issues on Lyme disease from the beginning to treatment.
