Infectious Diease Doctor

Has anyone seen an Infectious Diease Doctor and was told they suspect SLE Lupus due to the following ANA Serum Analyzerior Components?

ANA Screen - Ref range .0-.99 units. Mine was 2.99
Greater than 1.00 unit is positive

Anti DNA Antibody. Ref range 0-25 units. Mine was 41
Greater than 30 units is low positive - greater than 60 is positive

Sed Rate. Ref range 0-15. Mine was 39

I presented with fever of unknown origin since May 1, 2013 along with aches and pains, shortness of breath among other things - still have the fever. Taking predizone for 1 month along with pain meds. I’m referred to a rheumatologist but can’t get in till middle of September.

Just curious if anyone else has taken this route and if I should be alarmed.

Thanks for any and all support provided - Sharon

LaLady ... I am fairly new to this group, but there are a lot of more experienced people on here that I am sure will address your questions. Hang in there until they get to you... Ann - have you heard of this?

My family doctor is also an infectious disease specialist Wit a low grade fever etc it sure doesn't hurt to be under the care of one Remember they also work with the immune system. I wouldn't be alarmed - seems like things are being monitored My last big flare my sed rate was 139 - to me 39 was a blessing

Thanks so much for the information I feel better now - have a blessed day
