How do they treat Lupus Headaches? It hasnt even been a year since I was diagnosed. Am I supposed to just get used to strange things like neverending headaches and a plethora of meds with no real relief??? ENT did mention occipital never. I think I am going to request a MRI because the lump on right side just above clavicle is still there and tender to touch. Almost feels like a nerve. Anyone have that issue?
This lump you have it maybe a cyst...they're to do with Lympoma which Lupus causes i've had one removed from my throat, operated on twice by one right by my ear and they are sore but as they start growing they start to itch and now another in the same place besides one lying on my jaw line....they can come anywhere and need removing while small.
Regarding Lupus headaches..it's either painkillers or some can be migraines which alot of members suffer also....the link below is about Lupus headaches.
My mother had a cyst along her jaw line, behind her ear that she had removed. She endured all kinds of sinus problems, she had a surgery that opened up the sinuses to help them drain better. She had a lifetime of headaches, and sinus infections yet we never knew about lupus or that she might have it...
I've got to see the doctor and get refered because they told me last time the other was operated that they want to remove them while they're small...they're painful but when growing start itching.
I've got sinus problems besides...my nose keeps running then it turns to a liquid fluid which drips down my nostril and if not that nose bleeds.
Trisha if your mom had these problems you can guarantee she had lupus in some form.

For me, I just deal with the headaches, they are minor compared to my other pain. For you, the headache sounds much greater. I think we each have to decide for ourselves what we can live with, and what we need help with? Please let us know what you find out about the lump....

I know its stupid... but im kinda scared to press the lump issue... first they all said it was a lymph node. But no one seem concerned. Last Dr...ENT mentioned maybe gettn a ct scan since i had been on 3 antibiotics and its still there. But then changed to if you are still havn headaches in 10 days. I know I need to get it addressed. I just dont want to get scared and worked up. Cancer runs in my family! Then sometimes your treated like its nothing...Ive been to 4 doctors in a month and just need a break myself!! sigh
Cancer runs in my family on my dads side and your headaches mybe coming from the lupus as we all suffer them in different degree's but i've had several Lymph nodes and had them removed like i said and they sent them off for testing reagrding cancer and they came back negative...i just can't understand why ENT are going to surgically remove it.
