Bring it up to Rheumy! i just got officially diagnosed Thursday
by my Rheumy and he is highly suspecting lupus as well.
From my understanding or from most stories I’ have read they go
hand in hand.
I was just told Thursday that I had Fibromyalgia, but I had been having symptoms for the past 2 years. They came to this conclusion after a nerve conduction test on my arms and legs. It would not hurt to bring it up to both doctors. My sister also has Fibro, but no Lupus. I am the unlucky one and have them both.

Yeah I'm in the opposite boat! Definitely have fibro but they highly suspect lupus but are waiting to officially
diagnose until after more tests.
Not sure about where you live but here in Canada,it is the rheumy who has to give the final diag of Fibro.I was first told by my family Dr,who thought this may be the case. Then she sent me to rheumy to confirm diag. Fibro and Lupus don't always go hand in hand, but often if you have Lupus, chances are some Dr along the way will diag you with fibro also.Lupus takes on average 8-10 yrs to diag(so they say).If anything in my years of being ill and waitng,I was diag with Hypertension(1st) Fibro(2nd)then Sjogrens Syndrome(3rd),Vasculitus(4th) then after 71/2 yrs Lupus Sle.I have been living with illness since 1999. It's hard to make diag of these horrid illness's,and many "hit & miss"testing is done.Wishing the the best outcome! please know that it isn't a death sentence, learn as much as you can, treat yourself well & ENJOY the GOOD days! :)
