I had strep throat last week…as you all know when you have Lupus any sickness is far from normal. I haven’t been out of the house in 7 days…much more than usual fatigue and joint pain. I’m annoyed with myself… But I’m really feeling my family and friends getting annoyed with me. I just wish I could make it all better…feeling depressed
Sending hugs and love your way. Hang in there, you aren't alone in your struggle. This too will pass, and life will get back to whatever 'normal' is, heh. (Heavens know our lives are far from the average 'normal'!) Take some time to do something quiet and enjoyable, and don't let yourself feel guilty about it. A movie that makes you smile or a little activity that you don't usually do. Give yourself some slack and some time. ::lots of hugs::
I know what you mean "sickness is far from normal" I'm lucky that my family and friends understand when I can't do things. I guess we just have to realize that "it is what it is". Not fun, but a fact of life.
Good luck and feel better.
Cindy
Sending love and positive thoughts your way. Give yourself a break and don't overthink stuff. It is difficult for our family and friends but it is what it is and we cannot cure our body. Try doing something that you enjoy. If you do want to rant you have us all. :-)
From my personal experience, I found that friends and family do get annoyed sometimes. Every time I felt lupus taking a toll on my health eventually a fight breaks out with my husband. They don't know what we are going through. I still talk to them about what is ailing me but I don't do it every time my body is troubling me. I have learnt that during those times rest, a peaceful mind and doing something that I liked usually puts me in a better state of mind and body. It is easier said that done but I hope you do feel better.
I hope you are feeling better. You need to listen to your body. I do now. My family and friends need to understand. I am sorry you are depressed it is no fun. Take care
Cheer up. Hopefully your family understands, if they don't take them to the doctor with you next time. Feel better!
