Months ago my doctor went thru benlysta to see if they would help cover the coast since I had lost my insurance. Last week I called benlysta to see if I had been approved. They told me I was approved June 16th and the med had been ordered by the doctor last month. Well I called the doctors office to see what the hold up was they acted like they had no ideal I had been approved I told her it had and they had already ordered the med. She was supposed to call the company. I called back before they closed and she still has no ideal how the outpatient at the hospital will give the med since i dont have insurance.
Has anybody been approved to receive the med thru benlysta and had problems with their doctors office or the outpatient where they were supposed to receive it?
You need to check out the costs of administration- the prices can be hefty and is not covered by the drug company Perhaps a financial counselor at the hospital can help you out
Benlysta gave me a credit card to pay for the medicine itself but I still had to pay for the nurse to give me the medicine. I took benlysta for about a year. It really seemed to help my itching but my rashes came back so I stopped the medication. Hope this helps
