thanks Terri. It does all depend on the individual because autoimmune diseases & meds affect people differently. Wow wish we could get the docs to realize that. Lol. Be blessed!!!
Hi Trisha
I know how you feel!! Itβs hard to never ever just feel good and to have to alter your lifestyle and become this whole new person. I can tell you that when I have a flare I tend to spike a pretty high fever as opposed to always feeling like I have a low grade one. The plaquenil should help but my rheumy told me it takes at least three months for it to react with your body and as I recall I did not notice a change for about four months so hang in there and keep taking it. Remember to that you are on a new med which comes with its own set of side effects so some of what you are feeling may be that also. Yea I know more good news. Sorry!!! Hope it helps soon. Take care!!
Hi Latasha,
I've had a right game with my rheumo treating me but i've just dropped on a lovely rheumo last friday and already he wants me back in 2mths upped the plaquenil wants me to decide about IV treatment and took x-rays...my older rheumo i kept having words with him and he wrote a letter stating to my GP it was'nt right me talking in medical terms.
What do they take we for thicko's....some can be so annoying.
Sorry mate but that's my rant off my chest.lol

Hello everybody : )
I appreciate all the great advice. I definitely have things to talk with my Rheumo about. I had to reschedule my last appointment with him because I'm getting so much flack at work : ( I really hope that he'll increase the plaquenil. I've had no ill effects from it.
I think my stress level is as good as it gets right now with my situation at work. I'm in a catch 22 there for now. I see my counselor tomorrow and we'll discuss what's going on. I can say, that I'm really, really exhausted tonight. As soon as my husband comes home and eats dinner - I'm off to bed. I should have gotten a nap after work, but I chose to take my puppy to see about puppy classes. So, I'm even more tired than when I got home from work. I even felt faint when I was there talking with them, I'm glad my son drove me : )
This new normal is going to taking some time to get used to.
Trisha
Hello Trisha,
It was a shame you had to ulta your appointment through those at work but i do hope he rises your plaquenil as it's a good drug.
Trisha it's a shame how the works part is as you don't need it the same as anybody else and there's no understanding in some foke.
All the best mate with your councillor and bless the little girl going to puppy classes and although it tired you out, you've got to enjoy how she's coming on.
Hows your toes Trisha...are they still meat on a plate.lol

Trisha,
Life changes in so many ways, but we have to take one thing at a time. Yes, the new normal does take getting used to, but we carry on and do what we can when we feel like it. The main thing is to take it slow and don't overdo it. Your body is going through changes and only you can tell what you are able to do right now.
We are in this together! I gave up asking WHY this happened to me, a long time ago...I just know that I've met some AMAZING warriors in the same fight with me!
Love and BIG hugs,
Lori
Hi Lori , that is so well said !!!! " meeting Warriors in the same fight with me ". I think after we stop with the Why Me!!!!!! statement, things do change for us -" excepting the unknown" , is what am trying to say . I've also learned and focused more on , " Jehovah will not put more on us then we can / will bare " , so to sum this up yes we are fighters to this mishap , be we are still STANDING !!!!!..... Beverly L.
P.S. stay strong .....

Hey Everybody : )
Yes, I like the "AMAZING warriors" that's good Lori.
And I told my counselor about this site and he said I was very resourceful : ) Terri, my toes are still intact, but I just picked up a squirt bottle, and she doesn't like the sound or the spray : p
Ann, thanks for all your encouragement, I'm a survivor for sure.
Thanks to everybody that added to this discussion, this is a great group : )
Love to you all, Trisha
Hello Trisha,
Nice to hear your appointment went well and nice to see your councillor as clocked your resourcefulness from being on the site...i am pleased plus it gives you more confidence when speaking with specialists and knowing what your on about.
Glad your toes are still in place and that bottle may stop her from doing things as i have known people use things like that with staffs when growing...so keep squirting .lol
All my love Terri xxx
Hi Trisha!
I'm really glad to hear that your appointment was a success!
We truly are being tested and this will only make us stronger in the long run...that's what I've figured out. My body is weak, but my heart and soul are brave and I'm going to be here as long as I can.
I don't take things for granted any longer.....life is a gift to be cherished!
Love y'all!
Lori
Well said Beverly....AMEN!
