After feeling just plain ole Lupus lousy for a few months - you know... fatigue, pain, brain fog... Now it seems that I have something going on with my adrenals that cause them to produce a constantly high amount of cortisol. I'm blowing up like a balloon - enormous abdomen and face. PCP has ordered a 24hr urine test. Anyone have experience with this?
you know i worry about this too but i have had such bad luck with my gp and all these other ailments i have forgot or afraid to ask him, he already thinks im crazy!! but i have all the symptoms of this as well as i have had high progesterone levels in the past. my dog has this, i am pretty sure i have this right, it was brought on by prednisone we were giving her for brain and spinal cord tumors and it can be reversed by tapering medications, it is called cushings syndrome, i think there is a cushings disease too but i think you develop that during childhood, check out the mayo clinic webiste.
