Dumb stupid doctors office. I called today. Symptoms back. My doctor is gone. They can’t tell me why or when she’ll be back. I asked if I could see one of the of the other docs and they said no. What the heck!?!? When I called into work one of the ladies I work with heard about what they said to me. . She called her friend who uses one of the docs for RA. Her friend said that they’ve done that to her too. Carrie Ann was so po’d she called and griped and bless her heart I got a phone call and a Rx for dose pack steroids. Of course I should be seen but at least I can start on this. I only have a Rx for 5 mg prednisone and it isn’t helping. I guess this is better than nothing.

They could not even make a future appointment for you with your doctor or one of the other doctors? That is definitely not right! Even if you see someone during the week sometime and get it recorded into your record - the reaction that you had and the fear that you felt about it should not be ignored. Flares are scary, but sometimes I tend to go with my instincts on my reaction to what is going on in my body. We can all tell you that we have felt the same thing and it is just a flare and this is normal, that you have to be strong and work through it, but really - that fear is your instinct telling you something and for me it always says "Get this checked".
Ann A said something important to me yesterday - She said that she never ignores anything that might have to do with her organs (something to that effect). She is absolutely right. We don't know if what is going on has to do with your organs, but we don't know otherwise either. Perhaps they can schedule you in during the week?
