Nice view, I bet! I sleep with a CPAP and it helps my breathing. Stomach upset at bedtime? I have Tums on my nightstand. Pain? Ointment on there, too. Just avoid Tylenol on a regular basis. use only sparingly. Not good regularily, specially for diseases that threat kidneys, like Lupus.

I have been in a flare for the last month. Went to the Rheumy and he put me on prednisone 10 mg. along with my plaquenil. I also take 1 flexeril 10 mg. at bedtime and 2 tylenol. These are just the ones I take on a regular basis. I couldn't figure out what caused me to flare as I don't go outside except to go to work and come home. I haven't slept in a bed in close to 2 mths, I sleep in a recliner because it seems to allow me to sleep a little better. Mind you I don't sleep through the night, maybe a total of 4 hrs. sleep a night. Well this morning I woke up and happened to look towards the window and realized that my recliner is right in the path of the sunrise. So I'm thinking that even though I don't go outside, I am stll getting the UV rays from the sun that comes through the window every morning and shining on me!! Needless to say I am moving the chair this evening away from the window and see if it helps. I dont have curtains or blinds on the window, just a valance because it is on the second floor facing the woods.
I’m glad your doctor acted on this quickly and ordered bloodwork to try and give you some answers. I hope your chest infection clears up quickly, too. Take care.

Had my appointment at Drs today- he is re-referring me back to Dermatology and has ordered blood tests to be taken to measure my anti-bodies and Thyroid levels. Still feel like Ive been ran over and to top it all I now have a chest infection for which I am taking antibiotics. xx
I have to laugh at this reply. My kids have always wondered how I did both. Most nights the TV doesn't even go on because I am either on my computer or I am reading a book. It is almost always reading. You have given us so many places to go to learn about our disease and I really appreciate the benefit of all your research.

@ reet,
I must confess to reading constantly. My adult children tell my grands that they have never seen me watch tv. According to them I only listen to the television while I read. OK so I am old enough to have learned how to read before I ever had television. But I also enjoy information retrieval. I am glad that you are reading too. Learning about lupus can definitely improve the capacity for self care!

What a good idea, Latina. And Ann, you have kept me busy reading so many wonderful articles.
I have to say Thank you also!! For those that don’t know what is with this Living with Lupus stuff we sure can have some kind of relief ! And find out things that we never thought about Lupus, The crazy stuff…Beverly L.
Also meeting many people in different countries, who become your friends and in a special way , Family!!!..
Thanks all, my blood results are back and show nothing untoward. Discoid lupus levels are the same as they were 3 years ago - so it must just be this stupid chest infection which is making me feel so crappy - on antibiotics for that so hopefully I should feel better soon. Still having the flare up but it seems to be under control xxx
