Last night I saw my sun hat hanging and it struck me that I could put a lavender/purple scarf around the hat for lupus awareness but how to let people know what the lavender stands for, I don't know. I am wondering if Vera Bradley or some other company would consider making scarves that say "Lupus Awareness" or some other phrase. I now live where Vera Bradley makes their product but I have no idea how to even go about it. Any ideas?

I just realized you live in the same area as my parents! pretty cool. Anyway I was wondering if you would be interested in setting up a fundraiser online? contact me if you want to give it a try. jwaljudd@yahoo.com
Yeah I was thinking about that myself. They sell for breast cancer. I believe it’s dark purple for Lupus and Fibromyalgia. Lavender is for something else. I would like a ribbon or scarf with both colors though to be honest. They would make more people aware if they sold ribbons. Maybe I’ll do something like that, in my area nexr year.
Hi, there foundation has a package of wrist bands that we can get to pass out . Maybe you could contact them to find out more information about them , it would really help the public get the knowledge and ask questions about ,“what is Lupus?”…Beverly L.
I feel ashamed and guilty because I heard about this disease once in my life time and my husband ever talking about it once. My husband boss had lupus and he was man. He never mentioned to me except that one time. When his boss had shared with my husband, he was not aware of Lupus either and did not know what it was. Until I was diagnose with Lupus two weeks ago was than my husband again mentioned it to me. Now that I have a little understanding what Lupus is, I have been sharing it on blogs and other website and with family and friends to get the word out there and asked them to wear purple to support Lupus Awareness Foundation. I don't even believe to the best of my knowledge ever hearing on Television mentioning about Lupus disease. If I could afford a T-shirt or sweat shirt or bands I would purchase wrist bands to pass them out to family and friends. I am so sorry that I was not made aware of Lupus until I was diagnose with this dreadful disease that made a lot of changes in my life.
Don’t be sorry dear. I have had it for.18 years and knew some things but wasn’t aware of a lot of issues andsymptoms caused by the disease until recently. In the.past, the doctors would chalk all my issues up to the disease but never gave me literature or answers to questions and what I could expect. I am gonna start getting with organizations in my community to find out how to raise more awareness. I’m sorry you have it now too but now you are mot alone and you have a family here to help you through it. Keep your head up and stay blessed dear.
